Terms of Service

1. Overview
Nudge (“we”, “our”, “the Service”) is a SaaS platform that connects to your database to sync trial user data and send automated reminder emails on your behalf. By using Nudge, you agree to these terms.
2. Account & Eligibility
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be authorized to grant Nudge read-only access to any database you connect.
- One person or entity per account. Shared accounts are not permitted.
3. Free Trial
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. During the trial you have access to all Starter plan features. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan before the trial expires, your account will be restricted until you upgrade. Your projects and data are preserved.
4. Plans & Billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Polar.
- Starter ($19/mo): 1 project, 500 trial users, 1,000 emails/month, syncs every 6 hours.
- Growth ($49/mo): Up to 5 projects, 5,000 trial users, 10,000 emails/month, syncs every hour, custom email sender.
- If you exceed your plan limits, syncs and email sending will pause until your next billing cycle or until you upgrade.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
5. Database Access
- You grant Nudge permission to connect to the databases you configure and execute read-only queries to sync trial user data.
- You must provide read-only database credentials. Do not provide credentials with write access.
- Your database credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored securely. We never log or expose them.
- Nudge only queries the tables and columns you specify in your project configuration.
- You can revoke access at any time by deleting the connection from your project settings or changing your database credentials.
6. Email Sending
- Nudge sends reminder emails to your trial users on your behalf using your configured schedule.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to email the users in your database (e.g., they signed up for your product and agreed to receive communications).
- Emails are sent through Resend. Delivery depends on your domain's email reputation and configuration.
- We track email opens and clicks to provide you with conversion analytics.
- Do not use Nudge to send spam, phishing, or any unsolicited emails.
7. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your database connection settings and query configuration.
- You must comply with all applicable laws regarding email communications (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) for the emails Nudge sends on your behalf.
- You must not use Nudge to process sensitive personal data (health records, financial data, etc.) beyond what is necessary for trial reminder functionality.
- You must not attempt to circumvent usage limits, reverse-engineer the Service, or use it in a way that harms other users.
8. Data Ownership
- You retain ownership of all data you provide to Nudge, including your database content and trial user data.
- We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than providing the Service.
- When you delete a project or your account, all associated data is permanently removed.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep Nudge available and reliable, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or third-party service outages may cause temporary disruptions. We are not liable for missed emails or sync delays caused by downtime.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nudge is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, missed conversions, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, use the Service for abusive email sending, or fail to pay for your subscription. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
